Quadro Nuevo

Quadro Nuevo
Jazz im Brunnenhof 2026
Trier, Brunnenhof
An der Porta Nigra, 54290 Trier (Germany) - map
Some careers begin at the conservatory, others in a parking lot near Salzburg: Quadro Nuevo's story started in 1996 with a fee squandered at a casino. What remained was a distinctive sound and a thirst for adventure that has since taken the ensemble from Carnegie Hall to the Caucasus. For their audacious musicianship, the group has been honored with two ECHO Awards, a Gold Record, the German Record Critics' Award, and several Jazz Awards.
In Trier, the virtuosos present themselves in a lineup brimming with musical joy: While Mulo Francel switches between saxophone and mandolin, and D.D. Lowka sets the rhythm, Andreas Hinterseher coaxes yearning tones from the rare vibrandoneon, anchored by the inventiveness of pianist Chris Gall. With their album HAPPY Deluxe, they weave a tribute to moments of happiness – sometimes as a chilled-out daydream, sometimes as a wild tango. No matter where the journey and the fee may lead this time, the audience is the real winner in the Brunnenhof.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
All events in the "Jazz im Brunnenhof" series are partially seated, and seating is unreserved.
People with severe disabilities may bring one companion free of charge. Please register with the organizer by email so that sufficient space can be allocated within the seating arrangement, if necessary. Thank you.
Solidarity card holders receive a €3.00 discount (excluding the Mosel Music Festival concert on August 27, 2026).
Note: The concert will take place outdoors. Please dress accordingly.
