It is March 2020 when Bastian Maria and his wife Viviane want to set off on a world trip to Japan. Hitchhiking to the Olympic Games in Tokyo – that’s the goal. Everything is precisely thought out. They are pursued by the Pakistani police, threatened by an Asian elephant and taken in by Kyrgyz eagle hunters. They dance at a Punjab wedding, learn to milk goats and have to survive a threatening couch surfing experience. Often at the edge of their personal comfort zone.
