A bright glow and technical noise and suddenly you are standing in the middle of the Kaiserthermen. But wait – something is wrong here: water is bubbling, people are washing themselves in the pools in front of you and colorfully decorated walls are rising up. On the “Treverer Code” city tour you will travel straight back to ancient Trier as you look through VR glasses.

In the middle of 2023, you will embark on an exciting journey into the past with the “Treverer Code”. For the approximately 120-minute city tour, you will receive VR glasses through which you can immerse yourself in life in the ancient Augusta Treverorum at five different stations. There is a lot to see: from the beginnings of the city, to the creation of monumental buildings, to an audience with a real emperor. Surprises are almost inevitable. You can see directly on site what changes the city has undergone since 56 BC. Has passed through. A tour guide skilfully navigates your journey through time and knows how to supplement what you see with all sorts of additional knowledge and anecdotes. Can you decipher the “Treverer Code”?
